HOW TO TELL THE VERSION
Before you start, check the system program version of your PX-1.
- The app version is displayed in the VERSION section of the MENU screen.
- If this shows the latest version ("APP: 1.10"), there's no need to update your PX-1.

WHAT YOU WILL NEED TO UPDATE YOUR PX-1
- PX-1
- USB Type-C(R) cable
* Provide a cable suitable for connection to the computer you’re using. - Computer (Windows or Mac) equipped with a USB port compliant with USB 2.0 or USB 3.0
CAUTION WHEN PERFORMING THE UPDATE
- Never apply this update data to any product other than the PX-1. This update data may destroy the data or system program of other products.
- Please make sure to use the included adapter when updating the device.
- Never power-off your PX-1 while the update is in progress!
If a power failure or similar accident occurs during the update process, the PX-1 won’t be able to start up in normal operating mode. This will require servicing, so you will need to contact Roland service center near you if this occurs. - We regret that we are unable to answer questions regarding the update procedure using this system program. Please perform the update responsibly, following the directions given in this document.
GETTING THE UPDATE FILE
Please open/extract the downloaded “px1_sys_v110.zip” file on your computer to get the “px1_sys_v110” folder.

PROCEDURE FOR THE UPDATE
Caution
- You must not rename the extracted file.
- Never turn off the PX-1’s power while the update is in progress. Otherwise the system program or the PX-1 itself may be destroyed.
Please instal the extracted system program file into your PX-1 according to the following procedure.
- Connect the included adapter while holding down the pedal switch to turn on the power.
The PX-1 powers up, and UPDATER screen appears on the display. - Connect the PX-1 to your computer using a USB cable.
- Open the "PX-1" drive folder in your personal computer.
With WindowsWithin My Computer (or Computer), open "PX-1" (or Removable Disk).With macOSOn the desktop, open the "PX-1" icon. * On some versions of macOS, the name may appear as 'NO NAME'.
- Copy (drag and drop) the "two files in the "px1_sys_v110" folder into the root directory of the "PX-1" drive.
- After the copy has been completed, unmount or remove the drive on your computer.
With WindowsRight-click on the "PX-1" icon in My Computer (or the "Removable Disk (*:)" icon) and execute "Eject."With macOSDisconnect the USB cable from PX-1.
- The update process will start.
- The message "UPDATE COMPLETED" will appear on the display when the update process completes.
- Turn the PX-1 power off.
Follow the procedure for verifying the version to verify that the version has been updated.
